Dr. Pelle Seman, PhD in Water and Land Management has a 40 year experience from water and environment assignments with focus on Africa. His PhD training was oriented towards groundwater contamination by Solid Waste. He was until September 2014 Vice President of SWECO International with a specific responsibility for Land and Water Resources, Waste and Environment connected to development assignments. His recent professional experience focuses on transboundary water resources, including dams, water supply, water quality, climate adaptation and mitigation, and environmental projects in Africa from South Africa to Egypt financed by World Bank, African Development Bank, EU and bilateral donors.
He is currently working as an individual consultant on assignments in Eastern Africa including Ethiopia via his individual consultancy SEMCAT and the recently formed SEMBRAC Ltd. ine.g. coordinated project planning, feasibility studies and design, coordination and implementation mechanisms, identification of investment projects, reporting, stakeholder engagement, development of procedures and guidelines, documenting ongoing experiences etc.
Mr. Jonas Svensson is a Human Geographer Specialist in Strategies and synergies. He did 3.5 year PhD studies after his M.Sc. Trained in Systems analysis for land use planning and Policy. PhD studies were interrupted due to an assignment as a Senior Officer with duties at Swedish Board of Agriculture before the end of post graduate studies. Cross sector planning, Urban farming, Rural development, SIA, Integrated farming, CE, diversification of agricultural sector, Biodiversity and development of Rural Development Plans related to urban-rural relations included sludge treatment thru pyrolysis and carbon capture protocol are specialities of experience of Jonas,
Ms. Karin Eberle, Msc. in Chemical Engineering, has more than 20 years of experiece in the Environmental field with special focus on Solid Waste Managment and Opreration . Ms. Eberle has been assigned in many projects in Sweden, but she has also extensive experience from working in developing countries, especially project management, urban development and environmental training for local government units in South Africa and the Philippines. She has worked with all kinds of financiers and clients, with both bilateral and multilateral donors such as Sida, GIZ, WB, ADB, EU and IADB. She has consulting experience from various kinds of environmental projects, especially municipal, industrial solid waste and e-waste management, often related to integrated urban development, strategic planning and regulatory framework.
